Rome in Three Days

We managed to do Rome in three days with a big help from Kristen who had already been to Rome with her tour.

On the Spanish Steps....they weren't very impressive and like all other major sites in Europe it was covered in construction.

This is Paul in front of the Pantheon with a horse.

Here are two very amazing street performers.

This is an old ruin which is a home to lots of cats. There was a sign which said do not feed the cats because there are people who actually come and feed them.

Kris and I infront of the colloseum....we didn't get a chance to go inside but it looked very awesome.

IMGP5205001.jpg

There were heaps of weddings on the day that we went....

The is a perfect photos of the colloseum in the late afternoon with the sun setting in the background.

IMGP5226001.jpg

This is the Trevi fountain at night. Its beautiful by day and night. We all threw a coin in the fountain so that we could return one day.

IMGP5243001.jpg

This is the pope giving a speech at the Vatican....however its on the video and in Italian so we couldn't understand it.

IMGP5248001.jpg

The vatican is very huge...there was not a long queue on the day we went though because it was Sunday.

IMGP5269001.jpg

More photos of the vatican....

IMGP5270001.jpg

This is St Angels, Castle....

IMGP5310001.jpg

This is Paul on the top of the castle...it has a really good view of the vatican...

IMGP5319001.jpg

Paul and I stuck our hand in the mouth of truth and we were pure enough that it didn't steal our hands...

IMGP5335001.jpg

This is a grave of a famous Roman Emperor...Paul thinks is Nero.

What? I went to Rome?! I thought I must have dreamt that!

About time kids! I actually got that shot of you and me in front of the Colosseum printed, but I cut us out and lightened the dark bits up so you could see us. As you do. I swear we have exactly the same Colosseum photo! I'm adding trip photos to my site practically every day now I'm on holidays if you wanna look. Hey you didn't post my favourite photo of the St Peter's Basilica roof - which I wish I'd taken! But then if I'd gone with you I wouldn't have my nifty earrings I got while you guys were in there... so toss up really.
