Edinburgh Fringe Festival
It was a last minute plan of ours to go to the Fringe Festival, which is an international comedy festival. We were struggling to find a hotel but in the end we found a room at the Holiday Inn. So we booked the trains and 6 hours later we were in Edinburgh.
This is Paul at Kings Cross station. We were going to catch the Hogwarts Express from the 9 3/4 platform, which was made famous by 'Harry Potter' however I couldn't get through the wall. I must have too much muggle blood.
This is a really cool castle in the middle of the town.
There were fireworks for the military tattoo. We didn't get tickets the the Tattoo because they were sold out and very expensive. We did hear some of it though.
Paul and I went to see 7 shows. We saw two comedians who were really funny. One of the shows was called Beauty and the Bitch. This is a photo of our favourite show, Kakushow. It was a Japanese Sit Down Comedy and they did everything sitting on the stage. This guy made a paper cut out of Paul which has a slight resemblence to John Howard. He also did a puppet Show which was extremely funny!!!
This is me on the Royal Mile, which was full with street performers and tourist. The atmosphere was really great. There is a really nice pub with the best fish and chips. I also had a deep fried pizza and deep fried mars bar. I think Scotland has the highest level of heart disease in Europe. I even tried Haggis.
This is where they had the tattoo the next day.
This is a girl doing a traditional Scottish Sword dance.
We had a very nice weekend in Edinburgh, its a lovely city. Keep checking the website for more entries.
