Hola from Alcala and Madrid, Spain

One night at the pub quiz we met these two wonderful Spanish people who became our really good friends, Carlos and Irene. They kindly offered for us to come to Spain and accepted. Dave, Paul and I went for a long weekend to Carlos and Irene's town of Alcala, which is 1 hour away from Madrid. The town is famous for the birthplace of the Cervantes author of Don Quixote and also its storks even though we didn't get an opportunity to see any. Its a really nice town and everyone was lovely. I hope you enjoy the pictures and we just want to thank Carlos and Irene for showing us a great time.....

This is the Palace in Madrid, which is still used by the King Juan Carlos and the princess. They have big functions at the Palace. This was the most beautiful palace and royal residence, which I have been too. All the rooms are extravagently decorated with paintings on the walls and chandelier.

Carlos' friends work in a pub which played a mix of English and Spanish alternative music. It was a really cool and trendy pub. They made us a really nice cocktail shots which tasted like lollies and was named Lolly in Spanish.
