London, here we are
Hi Everyone,
Sorry we haven't put up any photos or updates for a while. We've been very busy getting ready for London and now that we're here, we've been traipsing all over the place trying to find somewhere to live. Well, we just found somewhere tonight, and it looks like it will be great so we're both very relieved. Fingers crossed that everything will go alright!
We haven't really had any time to see the sites or anything yet, so that can wait until next weekend when we're all settled. Tram says that we'll be heading off the Wimbeldon... should be fun :)
The one thing we've seen, we first thought it was a palace, but I think it is actually the London Library or something. There was lots renovations or something going on but it looks very huge and old.
We've also have got very familiar with the Tube system, and are even getting a hang of the busses. We've been travelling all over north london for the last two days.. sore feet :) It doesn't get dark until about 10pm, so sometimes we forget that it's getting late. we've sort of picked up some english lingo, but it havsn't affected our accents yet. I'm fighting hard! I'll never says yoh-gurt... sorry kris!
Anyway, it's Tram's first day at work tomorrow, so we have to go and sleep.
Bye!
Love Paul and Tram
PS we promise we will post the pictures of the last few days in Minnesota and also Berlin and what we've taken so far in London. We will do it when we have an internet connection.

Yeah, we made it! Today Tram went to work, poor thing, but she seems to have made it through the day without any problems. I'll let her tell you all about about soon in our next posting, but quickly:
I went to the national gallery very briefly on the way to buy a mobile phone (my number is 079 0618 0294 if anyone's interested in smsing or dialing an international number :)) and it was great. need to go back and spend a good couple of hours to take it in. I took some pictures of the outside that I will post when I am able to.
I have started looking for jobs... There are quite a few IT jobs available, but... maybe not for someone who isn't a brit or EU national :/ I will see how I go. There's always the bar tending hehe.
Will do an update later, Tram and I have to go to a Quiz night at the place we're staying at and win a few jugs of beer.

yikes, how much would an international sms set you back?! The museum (not sure of the exact name, but it's the really big one) is VERY cool as well. Oh and you've gotta go to the Tower of London and take the torture tour!

Hi Kris,
I don't think sms is that expensive. The torture tower seems very painful. Paul would probably enjoy it!!

torture TOUR! They show you all the vicious thumbscrews and helmets with spikes in and other nasty stuff they used to do to prisoners. Oh and the Crown Jewels are down there too!
