Mother's Day
Well, today is Mother's Day. 20 days to go until we're off, so I thought that I might write an entry. This is going to be really handy once we leave, so need to get into the habit of writing! Yeah, so .. 20 days to go. I have organised a bank account, trying to get a credit card or two. Tram and I got our international driver’s licence yesterday from RACQ. I forgot to shave, so I look a bit… well, like me I guess. Heh.
I got mum a CD, “World’s Best Song Writers 2”. It’s pretty good, and I think she likes it. The only problem is that I bought myself an $815 digital camera yesterday, but she didn’t seem to mind… lucky. Presents are hard. Anyway, she got a nice birthday present, and Mother’s day is such a commercial thing IMHO. Oh well.
The photos I took today came out mostly pretty good. Everyone was calling me “John” at the end of the day, because I guess I was being just like my Uncle.. he takes photos when no one is expecting them to be taken. Hehe. It’s just so tempting!
Hmm, not that much more interesting to report at the moment. My uncle Paul bought a 2 year old Porsche. It’s pretty nice.. Steve went for a drive in it today (they forgot that I haven’t been in it yet and took off without me :( bastards!) and supposedly went about 160km/h down Gardiner Rd (where Jayne lives). Damn, that would have been fun/scary.
That will do for the first real entry I think!

yay for the digital camera purchase! What sort is it? Also Paul, what is your regular camera? Thinking of getting one for my mother's birthday and your photos seemed to come out really nicely.
