Hello to all our devoted friends and family

I guess the big news is that on friday I finished my job and I'm looking for another job this week. The people from work gave me a bottle of wine and we went out for drinks after work which was really fun.

Everyone wish me luck in finding another job.

On the weekend we went to see David Blaine. I don't know if you have heard him in Australia. He's from America and he used to be a magician but now he does all these crazy stunts. He burried himself alive for one week and he incased himself in a ice block for 48 hours. Well he's current stunt is living in a glass box over looking the tower bridge and going without water for 44 days.

So, of we went to tower bridge to see him. It was quiet boring actually, he just sat there and sometimes he would wave to the people on the bridge. Lots of people go to look at him and wait for him to do something interesting.. like go to the toliet or stand up. He has been getting harrassed in his little box because kids have been throwing eggs at him and going there in the middle of the night and playing loud music. He's girlfriend has had to come to the rescue and clean the windows. Yesterday, some guy tried to climb up the ropes and cut his water supply. So, its interesting to follow whats been happening to David Blaine.

This weekend my grandfather is coming from Australia, so I guess we will be doing lots of tourist activities and showing him around London. Paul did take some pictures of David, so we will put them up for all of you to see. Unfortunately there was no egg throwing the day we went.

Please comment and write to us about what you have been doing!!!!

Lots of Love

Tram and Paul

1, 2, skip a few....

Just kidding. We only skipped the boring stuff.

Happy Father's Day to Dad and Dad for last Sunday! :) We hope you had a nice day. We wish we were there to celebrate with you. Maybe next year.

Anyway, we had a busy weekend going places... We went to Greenwich on Saturday to see the Prime Meridian and walk around the area. It was fun and educational at the same time. ;)

Yesterday (Sunday) we caught the train to Reading (pronounced redding.. go figure) to watch the Socceroos take on Jamaica in a friendly international. It was great, there were 8050 Australian and Jamaican fans there. Australia won 2-1, so it was a relatively action packed game, for soccer. Fun. We saw 'arry Kewell and Viduka. Kewell scored and set up another one.

Anyway, we have some pictures today of the British Museum and walking around the National Gallery (no photos inside :( ), Trafalgar Square and walking over the Millenium Bridge (it's not called that, but that's what we call it) and around the London Eye.

Enjoy!

One of the side entrances to the British Museum

Some huge totem pole.  There was a story about the figures on it.. It was something involving a strict mother, her son and a whale.  Can't quite remember it, but the son basically got annoyed and went to live in a whale's belly for a while, and eventually the whale was killed by the villagers, and the guy came out and everyone was shocked.  Or something.

This guy has been dead for about 3000 years.  Impressive.

More mummies from Egypt.  Their collection is .. massive.  I'm sure that most of it is probably in storage.

Tram and some mummies.

So Paul's head isn't as big as everyone thought it was.

The newly built dome in the British Museum.  It's beautiful, you have to be there to get a feel for it.  It's massive...

Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column.  Lots of people are here on Saturdays, but the number doesn't go down much, ever.  Even in the middle of the night.

The front of the national gallery.  No one worth of a portrait in this photo though.

Fountains are nice

London Eye

We managed to take this photo before the security guard told us to put the camera away... This is a sculpture that looks incredibly real.  We thought he was a real person for a while.  This is at Tate Modern, a gallery just behind the london eye.  There is a free section that we looked at, and one day we'll get around to checking out the .. expensive section.  The free bits are very interesting, so inside is probably a lot better.

Another panorama of the view from the bridge... Not perfect, but getting better.

Still catching up... 19th of July!

Hi Everyone, it's another update. We're only about 6 weeks behind now!! cool.

I hope that everyone's still looking at the web site occasionally. We're really trying to keep current now.

In recent news, I decided that I am going to look for work elsewhere. I could have stayed at this place for longer but I really want to program. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

Tram is also looking for something better too, so that's good news.

We're also planning another holiday for the near future. We're deciding between Bath and Venice... Maybe both :) This weekend we are going to go to Hampton Court, which is a giant Castle where King Henry VIII used to live. The public can go all through the place (including the giant maze, only £5 exra!) and check out all the grounds too. Should be fun.

Greetings to all our friends and family, we miss you all heaps. Thanks to the ppl who remembered my birthday!

Love Paul and Trammie!

Our day in Hyde Park

This is the entrance to Hyde Park.  The guy isn't naked, I swear!  He's got stubbies on.

This is the start of the Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Walk.  They are going to put in a huge water feature that will run throughout the park in memory of Princess Di.

This is Paul looking gorgeous by the Serpentine. What a poser!!

And this is Tram with a contrail behind her.  We see sooo many of them, London is very busy.

Although you can't really tell from this angle, the water is gross.  It has lots of tiny little fish, and a lot of garbage.  Messy brits!

This is Paul's friend from the Park. Its a little Squirrel of Hyde Park. Soo Cute!! But not as cute as the one that hangs around our garden.

There were heaps of people out enjoying the sun out on the water. We've been to a few of the major parks around London (and the not so major) and people go sunbathing in the park here when the sun comes out.  Crazy.  It makes me very afraid of winter.

This one is for GB (My cousin).  We had a look at Hamley's Toyshop on Regent St.  It is 5 or 6 levels of toys!  They even have care bears... and remote control cars, holograms, gadgets, 3d face engraving and all kinds of cool stuff.  This is the Bratz section.  Very pink.

Tram with her hero, Hagrid, modelled in Lego.  He wishes he was as good as me.
