Choose yourself guide to wealth book cover

Today I finally finished reading The Choose Yourself Guide to Wealth by James Altucher. I really enjoyed it, and have learned a lot from reading it. I have started trying to do the daily practice, although I think I’ve been mainly concentrating on the “mental” leg by coming up with ten ideas a day. I have also been trying to be healthier by eating better and sleeping more, although the sleeping thing isn’t really working out so far - damn you GTA5! Also it’s 1:30am right now, so really, i should be asleep because I have to wake up at like 6:30. d’oh.

Anyway, I’m going to start actually putting the ideas in the book into practice. I have already started doing something! I really need to, or I’ll just be doing the same thing forever or until someone else chooses for me what my life will become. I’m going to go back over the table of contents and re-read some parts of the book. For example, I just re-read “What if you don’t know what your passion is?” while writing this post, and the tl;dr of it is basically “you are already passionate about something, so start an information product about it with your own twist”. Sounds like that’s something I could start doing. I have a few ideas of things I could write about - photography, HDR, buying second hand lenses. Maybe I could write about setting up your own portfolio site. Photoshop tips. Photographing children. Starting a photography business (I should probably actually do that first and then write about it).

Bed time now. Ten more ideas tomorrow.
